Tammy Sue (Ellinger) Darcus, 48, wife of Tyrone Darnell Darcus, of Churchville, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Darcus was born in Waynesboro, Virginia on February 5, 1975, a daughter of the late John Bryan Ellinger and Mary Sue (Taylor) Ellinger.

Tammy was a devoted CNA, employed first at Envoy of Staunton and later at Health Care Services. She loved taking care of others and enjoyed crafting, playing corn hole and traveling to Williamsburg.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Darcus was preceded in death by her brother, David Ellinger; her father-in-law, Thomas Lee "Tommy" Darcus; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of eighteen years, are two sons, Jonathan Fridley and his wife, Cassandra of Florida and Christian D. Darcus of Churchville; a daughter, Brittany M. Darcus of Staunton; three grandchildren, Kayden Darcus, Aspen Fridley and Avery Garrow; and her mother-in-law, Linda (Douglas) Darcus of Staunton.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

There will be no public services.
