Obituary

Sydney Lee Nuckoles, 21, of 1294 Blandford Street, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017.
Miss Nuckoles was born on September 16, 1996 in Fishersville, daughter of Ronnie Newton, Jr. and Christina Tina (Collins) Nuckoles.
Sydney was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, she was a 2015 Graduate of Stuart Hall and a full time student at Blue Ridge Community College. Sydney enjoyed and played A.A.U. Basketball and was known as a connoisseur of pizza.
Miss Nuckoles was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Sandra Lee (Arehart) Collins; maternal great-grand parents, Beard and Allene Arehart and James R. and Mattie Collins; paternal great-grandparents, Vernon Hemp, Sr. and Frances (Hemp) Hall and Oliver and Bessie Nuckoles; and uncles, Harry L. Henry Dull, Vernon Sonny Hemp, Jr., Roy Nuckoles, Ray Nuckoles, Steve Nuckoles and Eddie Nuckoles.
Surviving in addition to her parents of Staunton, is a brother, Tyler Nuckoles and his fiance Kassi Falls of Staunton; paternal grandparents, Ronnie N., Sr. and Wanda (Hemp) Nuckoles of Davenport, Florida; maternal grandparents, Butch Collins and friend Pauline Reese of Middlebrook; aunts and uncles, Joyce Dull and her family, Kevin, Blake, Chris, Cameron and Lexi Dull; Teresa Edsall and husband Mark and their family, Michelle Gee and husband Benji and their son, Paden; Crystal and Chloe Simmons; Creed and Christy Collins and their sons Josh and Brandon; Rod and Michelle Davis and their daughter, Morgan Rowe; Billy Nuckoles and wife Connie and family, Melissia Webb and husband Ricky, Eric Nuckoles and wife Becky and their children, Landon, David, Lauren, Lindsey Stump and husband Jamie and their children, Bryson, Ray Lynn; Joe Nuckoles; Sissy and Buddy Robins and family, Christie Smith and husband Jimmy and their family Butch Chandler and wife Nancy and son Aiden; Loretta Nuckoles and family Debbie, Lauria and Gail; Catherine Nuckoles and family, Rhonda, Ray, Jr., Roderick, Randy, Rodney and Ryan; Mary Nuckoles and family, Katie and Jeremy; Janet Nuckoles and family, and Stacy, and Stevie, Jr. and his daughters Brittany and Tiffany. Sydney is also survived by her godparents, Nancy Staton and Billy Puffenbarger; special friends, Katelyn Hoover, Sarah Kennedy and Jennifer Nuckols; and Sydneys special pet cat, Ollie and her devoted dog / fur-sister, Browniee.
A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in the Bethany Presbyterian Church by Rev. John K. Craft and Pastor Lester LaPrade. The family will receive
friends following the service or other times at the residence.
