Susan Paulette (Chandler) Fretwell, 61 of 593 Dabneys Road, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Susan was born on February 6, 1951 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Henry Washington and Evelyn Pauline (Chittum) Chandler.
Ms. Fretwell was employed with Hershey Chocolate with 28 years of service. She enjoyed camping and had a special love for her two grandsons.
Survivors include two sons, Danny L. Eye and wife Renee of Waynesboro and Randy N. Eye and wife Stacy of Raphine; her fianc, Van W. Bell, Jr. of Raphine; two grandsons, Dallas M. Eye and Nathan N. Eye; two brothers, Terry L. Chandler of Crimora and Michael A. Chandler of Staunton; a sister, Carolyn E. Siron and husband Bill of Waynesboro; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Sharon Moore of Stuarts Draft also survive.
A Graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012 in Augusta Memorial Park by Pastor Phillip T. Brown.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at her residence.
Active pallbearers will be Gary Siron, Timmy Siron, Kevin Siron, Shane Chandler, Michael G. Chandler and Tracy Crickenberger.
Honorary pallbearer is Sgt. Travis A. Chandler serving in the US Marine Corps.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Philadelphia, PA.
