Steven Elvert Mitchell, 67, of Staunton, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

Mr. Mitchell was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia on September 29, 1955, a son of Reanell (Vandevander) Mitchell and the late Paul Elvert Mitchell.

Surviving, in addition to his mother of Staunton, is a brother, Mike Mitchell.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date by Pastor Robert D. McCarty.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Steve's memory to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2807 North Augusta Street, Staunton, Virginia 24401.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
