Stephen Steve Ray Allen Jesse Reed, 57, husband of Debbi G. Reed of 274 Farmington Drive went to be with his Lord and Savior, on Friday, June 15, 2012.
Mr. Reed was born in Staunton, on December 8, 1954 a son of the late Jesse and Eulalia (Rife) Reed.
He attended New Life Four Square Gospel Church, in Staunton. He was most recently employed as superintendant at Miller Pipeline in York, PA., and formerly employed at LaBarge Company for over 20 years. Steve enjoyed music, hunting and was very much an outdoorsman.
In addition to his parents Mr. Reed was preceded in death by a brother Roy Lee Reed and a grandson Travis Blake Smith.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 37 years is a son, Stephen William Jessie Reed and his wife Jessica (Smith) Reed of Ladd; a daughter, Candice Renee (Reed) Simmons and her husband Terry of Staunton; a brother, Gary Reed of Savanna, G.A.; a sister Iris D. Reed of Staunton; six grandchildren, Katie Nicole Reed and Dylan Andrew Reed and their sister Rachel Marie White, Corbin Marshall Reed, Caleb Isaac Reed Simmons, Elana Corinne Simmons, Gabriel Tobias Simmons; a close and special niece Pam Dixey and her husband Bob, of Raphine; and a number of nieces, nephews and special hunting buddy, Kenny Landes, and high school buddy, Danny Anthony.
Steves family wishes to thank the employees of Miller Pipeline in York, PA. for all of their support during his illness.
A Celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2012 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Brandon Carter.
Entombment will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Terry Simmons, Jeff Deaver, Marty Lohrey, Bernard Moulton, Roy Reed Jr., Curtis Reed, Danny Anthony, Tracy Carter and Bob Dixey.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 17, 2012 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at his residence.
