Stephen Lewis Smith's Obituary
Stephen Lewis Smith, 68, of Waynesboro, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Smith was born on April 21, 1948 in Waynesboro, Virginia, a son of the late Raymond and Louise (Glass) Smith.
Stephen enjoyed spending time with his family whom he was very proud.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ray and a sister, Joan.
Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer Bass of Farmville and Rebecca Smith of Stuarts Draft; four grandchildren, Ashlee, Mandy, Ronnie, and Cody; and two great-grandchildren, Benny and Remi; and a horse named Gabby.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2017 in Augusta Memorial Park by Pastor John M. Ward. The family will visit with friends following the service.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah, two special E.R. Doctors, and Aunt Sharon Hopeman for their special care and concern for Mr. Smith and the family during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Stephens memory, to the Augusta Health Foundation Hospice of the Shenandoah, Post Office Box 1000, Fishersville, Virginia 22939.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements.
