Stephen Clayton Markham's Obituary

Stephen Clayton Bull Markham, 70, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away December 31, 2013 at UVA Medical Center.
Mr. Markham was born May 4, 1943 in Washington D.C. a son of the late John G. and Margaret (Reynolds) Markham.
Steve was a child burn survivor who went on to become a Fire Fighter and retired from the Fairfax County Fire Department. He attended Woodrow Wilson HS in D.C. and was a 62 graduate of Fairfax HS. He was also a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) and the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Retirement Association.
Steves legacy is carried on by a son, Brad Markham, of Harrisonburg, Va; two daughters, Christine Markham of Fredericksburg, Va, and Erin Markham and her husband Patrick Griffith of Waynesboro, Va; two brothers, Jack Markham and his wife Jeri and Jimmy Markham; eight grandchildren, Kimberly, Courtney, Seth, Josh, Brenan, Madison, Katalina, and Scarlett; and his pawed companion, Ali.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at MUSC, UVA Medical, and Waccamaw Hospital, for the great care of Steve throughout the last six months.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Dr., Staunton, where a Celebration of Steves Life will be held at 6:00 p.m.
