Stacey Lee Nuckoles, 32, of Waynesboro, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 in the VCU Medical Center in Richmond.

Mr. Nuckoles was born on February 17, 1986 in Waynesboro, Virginia, a son of Janet K. (Rankin) Nuckoles and the late Stephen C. Nuckoles, Sr.

Stacey was a member of Central United Methodist Church, and a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School. He enjoyed car racing, listening to country music, and watching wrestling and "Cops" on TV.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George B. and Pauline M. Rankin; and paternal grandparents, Oliver and Bessie Nuckoles.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Staunton, is a brother, Stephen C. Nuckoles, Jr. of Staunton; two nieces, Tiffany and Brittany Nuckoles; a special friend and caregiver, Vida Harter of Waynesboro; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Won Un.

Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro.

Active pallbearers will be Danny Ray, Vic Douglas, David Puffenbarger, James Roberson, Sherman Curry, and James Comer.

"Stacey was laid to rest by his mother, Janet, aunt, Gloria McQuain and special friend, Vida Harter."

The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to Dr. Richard Miller and Dr. Victor Buckwalter for the love and care given to Stacey, during his life.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements.
