Sonja Florice (Nicholas) Boice, 77, widow of Harry Eugene "Butch" Boice, of Waynesboro, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mrs. Boice was born in Hampton, Virginia on February 18, 1947, the daughter of the late Phillip Milford Nicholas, Sr. and Charlotte (Sisson) Nicholas.

Sonja was of the Methodist faith and retired as a bookkeeper from Ashcraft and Gerel Attorneys. She enjoyed playing guitar, gardening, housekeeping, sewing, and decorating her home for every season.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Boice was preceded in death by an infant brother, Phillip Milford Nicholas, Jr.

Surviving, are twin sons, Paul Eugene Boice and his wife, Wendy Rose and Jeffrey Eric Boice both of Front Royal; a daughter, Tara Colleen Boice of Waynesboro; a granddaughter, Gena Rose Boice; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends following the service.

Burial will be held at a later date in Quantico National Cemetery.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
