Sondra Ann (Brockman) Moore, 81, widow of Harry Lee Moore of 625 Hildebrand Church Road, and formerly of Hendren Ave, passed away Wednesday August 5, 2015 in the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Mrs. Moore was born on September 26, 1933 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Thomas Marshall and Marguerite (Fultz) Brockman.
Sondra was a member of Hebron Presbyterian Church, a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to all who knew her.
On September 28, 1953 she married the late Harry Lee Moore, who preceded her in death on March 10, 2007.
Surviving are five sons, H. Michael Moore of Pensacola, FL, David M. Moore and his wife Theresa (Hull) of Staunton, L. Kent Moore and his wife June (Stoner) of Mt. Sidney, Douglas L. Moore of Waynesboro and Mark F. Moore and his wife Karen of Metairie, LA; an adopted grandson, Brannen J. Moore and his wife Angie of Verona; seven grandchildren, Aaron, Martha, Lynne, Brock, Spencer, MacKenzie and Alexis Moore; six great-grandchildren, Ethan Moore Underwood, Alexis Campbell, Abigail Grace, Jacob, Braylee and Keagan Moore; and a special daughter, Gayle (Byrd) Good.
In keeping with Mrs. Moores request her body was cremated.
A Memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Frank H. Wyche.
The family will receive friends following the service or at other times the residence of her son and daughter in-law, David and Theresa Moore, 165 Rome Avenue, Staunton, Virginia 24401.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
