Sidney Allen Frye, 82 husband of Doris K. (Stuples) Frye of 20 Frontier Ridge, passed away Thursday, (August 27, 2009) in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Frye was born March 28, 1927 in Mount Jackson, a son of the late Lester McKinley and Pauline Marie (Bynaker) Frye Belback.
Mr. Frye was an U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of the V.F.W Post 7472 in Ellicott City, MD and was retired from Carded Graphics in Verona as a pressman.
In addition to his wife of thirty-eight years, he is survived by a son, Sidney Wayne Frye; a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle Lynn Ralston and her husband Daniel all of Staunton; a step-daughter, Diana Nicholson; two brothers, Austin Frye of West Friendship, MD and Warren O. Frye of Ellicott City, MD; one sister, Pauline Virginia Swift; five grandchildren, Ryan Ashton Brown, Jacob Cage Frye, Bishop Drake Frye, Hunter Lee Ralston and Abigail Ralston and a special friend Mark Benton.
A memorial service will be conducted 6:00 p.m., Monday, (August 31, 2009) in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Harold L.Wade.
The family will receive friends following the service.
