Shirley Clementine (Sensabaugh) Fravel, 83, wife of Paul E. Fravel, of 1290 Cold Springs Road, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Fravel was born on June 14, 1935 in Stuarts Draft, a daughter of the late Samuel G. and Louise (Conner) Sensabaugh.

Shirley was an active member of Linden Heights Baptist Church where she was past director of the WMU. She retired from Nations Bank as a bank teller, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and she enjoyed bowling and cooking.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fravel was preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel W. Sensabaugh and Robert M. "Bobby" Sensabaugh; and two sisters, Peggy Simmons and Jean Cash.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 62 years are three sons, Dale Fravel and his wife Gail of Staunton, James Fravel and his wife Bunny of Stuarts Draft, and Douglas Fravel and his wife Karen of Middlebrook; a daughter, Amelia Gilbert and her husband Mike of Middlebrook; two sisters, Charlene Kerby and her husband Lemuel of Stuarts Draft and Heber Coffey of Ruckersville; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Linden Heights Baptist Church by Pastors Luke B. Smith and David A. Anderson.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
Burial will be private in the Old Providence Church Cemetery.
