Shirley Gayle Reist, 65, of Staunton, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Ms. Reist was born in Staunton on October 18, 1956, a daughter of the late James Campbell Jr. and Carol Maxine (Austin) Campbell.

She retired from Hollister in 2018 with twenty-five years of service. In her earlier years, she enjoyed fishing and being by the river and spending time outdoors. Shirley's children and grandchildren were her life. She enjoyed cooking and feeding her family love and food.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death her sisters, Cindy Harrington and Sheila Swafford.

Surviving are her loving daughters Bobbie Jo Gilmer, Amy Reist, and Ashley Hylton; grandchildren, Marilyn Shiflett, Caleb Reist, Catherine Smiley, Dharma Hylton, and Dominic Hylton; sisters, Sadie Agnor, Kat McNeal, Lisa Clark, and Tammy Forbes; and numerous nieces and nephews, which she loved dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Special Speaker Tammy Forbes.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
