Shirley W. Frank

Shirley Ann (Wine) Frank, 75, wife of Gabe Hampton Frank of 200 Little Calf Pasture Highway, Swoope passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Frank was born April 8, 1936 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Jacob Daniel and Vernie (Cline) Wine.
Shirley was a life long resident of Augusta County and a member of the Buffalo Gap Presbyterian Church, where she was currently serving as church treasurer and was a very active and devoted care giver to her church. Shirley was a wonderful wife and mother being very devoted to her family.
Surviving in addition to her beloved husband of fifty-six years, are two sons, Mark Wine Frank and his wife Mary of Bassett, VA and Todd Hampton Frank and his companion, Donna Goulette of Raphine; a grandson, Jacob Frank; a sister, Betty VanLear of Staunton; sister-in-law, Mary Byrd of Churchville; niece, Susan Arehart and a nephew, Robert Byrd and his wife Lisa of Swoope also survive.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2011 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. M. Olivia Haney and Rev. Dr. Jan G. Owen.
Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
Active pallbearers will be her grandson, Jacob Frank, Robert Byrd, Daniel Stogdale, Sherwin Burtner, Billy Via, Gordan Irvin and Randall Burtner.
In lieu of flowers it is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to Buffalo Gap Presbyterian Church, c/o Mr. Daniel L. Stogdale, 73 Elk Run Drive, Churchville, VA 24421.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
