Shirley B. Ferguson

Shirley Leona (Bane) Ferguson, 74, widow of Marvin Everette Ferguson of 508 Lee Jackson Highway and formerly of Lexington, passed away Friday, Oct.29, 2010, at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Ferguson was born March 24, 1936, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Flander and Lucinda (Bane) Bane.
She was employed by the Lexington Restaurant for 18 years. She was a member of Collierstown Presbyterian Church and attended Verona Church of God. Mrs. Ferguson was a wonderful cook and enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends.
Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin E. Ferguson and his wife Wanda, of Staunton; three brothers and sister in-laws, Wendell Bane and his wife Chris, of Glasgow; Daniel Bane and his wife Mary, of West Va; and Sherain Bane and his wife Patricia, of Lexington.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, (November 2, 2010) in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum by Pastor Lewis Knight.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 til 8:00 p.m. in the Coffman Funeral Home \u0026 Crematory.
Active pallbearers will be Theo Creamean, Kelly Wolford, Luke Horst, Michael King and Rusty Marshall.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of her arrangements.
