Shirley (Harris) Colvin Glover, 74, widow of the late Wesley Allen Colvin and Martin Elwood Marty Glover, of 511 Betsy Bell Road and formerly of Craigsville, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Glover was born on May 14, 1943 in Staunton, Virginia, a daughter of the late Daley Alfred Squeaky and Lucille Erma Luc (Harris) Knight.
Shirley attended Victory Worship Center with her daughter, she retired in 2002 from Stillwater Mills after thirty-two years of service and later re-entered the workforce working at McKee Foods and Marshall Distribution Center. She enjoyed sewing, ceramics and shopping.
In addition to her two husbands and parents, Mrs. Glover was preceded in death by three brothers, Earnest M. Pete Harris, Clyde E. Harris, and Russell E. Harris.
Surviving is a daughter, Annette (Colvin) Argenbright and her husband Steve of Staunton; a granddaughter, Heather Showalter and her husband Justin of Mt. Crawford; a great-grandson, Easton T. Showalter; three brothers, Gary P. Knight of Grottoes, Larry L. Knight and wife Gay of Crimora, and Steve L. Knight and friend Kathy Sprouse of Verona; two sisters, Gloria M. Wilson and husband Richard of Swoope and Jane A. McDaniel and husband Jeff of Verona; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
A Graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2017 in Thornrose Cemetery by Pastor Ray Eppard.
Active pallbearers will be Shirleys twin brothers, Larry and Gary Knight, Brad Ingram, Robbie Ingram, Jim Skinner, Chris Miller, Steve Puffenbarger, and Dr. Rob Marsh.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lewis Bazzrea, Todd Sours, and Troy Sours.
