Shelda Elizabeth (Madison) Lawhorne, 62, of Staunton passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 at her residence.

Ms. Lawhorne was born in Waynesboro, Virginia on August 30, 1960, a daughter of the late Homer Madison and Edna Pauline (Bragg) Wilt.

Shelda loved her Witchcraft Gaming Community, her diamond painting, and wolves. She enjoyed reading and watching WWE, especially John Cena. Most important in her life was her family and her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Robert Wilt; grandparents, Lucille and Aubrey Slagle; a sister, Gail Ruiz; and a special nephew, Dewey Tomey.

She is survived by her two children, Miranda Hernandez and Damian Lawhorne and his wife, Miranda; grandchildren Esperanza Carter and her husband, Todd Gibbs, Maria Carter, Mariana Hernandez, Tati Hernandez, Celine Hernandez, Walker Lawhorne, Hunter Lawhorne, and Lorelai Lawhorne; great-granddaughter, Luna Gibbs; sisters, Pam Monington and her husband, Jim, Darlene Kier, and Wanda Thomas; and best friend, Miss Terry.

Services will be private.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
