Sharon Elizabeth Masterman Chappell, age 77, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Born on October 20, 1948, in Binghamton, New York, Sharon lived a life marked by faith, love, and devotion to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Betty Masterman.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband, James I. Chappell; her son, David (Tracey) Chappell; and her daughter, Elizabeth (Ryan) Livengood. She was a cherished grandmother to Taylor Chappell, Kendall Chappell, Kaitlyn Chappell, Josie Chappell, Silas Chappell, Tessa Chappell, Jacob (Taylor) Livengood, Luke Livengood, Simeon Livengood, and Lydia Livengood. She is also survived by her dear sister, Saundra (David) Griffin and other beloved family.

Sharon’s greatest joy was found in her faith in Jesus Christ and in the family she loved so deeply. She faithfully lived out her beliefs through her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for those around her. Whether offering encouragement, sharing wisdom, or simply spending time with those she treasured, Sharon left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Though her family grieves her passing, they rejoice in the assurance that she is now at peace in the presence of the Lord she faithfully served. Her legacy of faith, love, strength, and devotion will continue to live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.

The family will receive friends at White Hill Church on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a service beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
