Shannon Russell Fitzgerald, 61, of 16 Skyeast Road, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Fitzgerald was born on February 17, 1954 in Waynesboro, a son of Shirley (Grant) Miller and the late Palmer Russell Fitzgerald.
Shannon was a member of the Beech Grove Christian Church in Roseland, Virginia. He was a retired truck driver, enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing pool, reading and watching television.
In addition to his father Mr. Fitzgerald was preceded in death by a sister, Amelia D. Newlen.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two daughters, Melissa Campbell of Staunton and Shayla Fitzgerald of Summersville, WV; a brother-in-law, David B. Newlen; a grandson, Cory Campbell; three nieces, Chasiti M. Newlen, Aveah and Brianna; and a special aunt, Eva Ramsey also survive.
A Memorial service will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2015 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor John M. Ward.
The family will receive friends following the service.
