Sean Matthew O'Hare, 20, of Port Republic passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Lynchburg General Hospital in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Sean was born on January 1, 2001 in Rockingham County, Virginia, a son of David and Kristy (Gibson) O'Hare.

Sean was attending Liberty University in Lynchburg and was a member of the United States Air Force ROTC program. He was a friend, pilot, enjoyed photography, was called "Dorm Dad" by his roommates and cadet "Frosted Flakes" by his superiors. Though Sean loved flying since he was two, he made a decision last year that even though flying was important, Jesus Christ was more important. He valued his relationship with his Heavenly Father above all else and he passionately engaged others to follow. His heart's desire was for those that had not committed to Christ, to come to a saving knowledge of Him through His death, burial, and resurrection.

Surviving in addition to his parents, is a brother, Josiah O'Hare; three sisters, Jordyn O'Hare, Elina O'Hare, and Caitlyn O'Hare; grandparents, Tyler and Linda Gibson and Don and Bonny Childers; uncles and aunts, Scott and Janice Batsch, Dwayne and Rachel Gibson, and Doug and Teresa Howell; many cousins and his brothers and sisters at Liberty University.

A private graveside service will be held at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.

A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Crossroads Baptist Church in Fishersville by Pastor Heath Spivey.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, has been entrusted with his arrangements.
