Sandra Lee Sandy (Curry) Boyd, 69, wife of Clyde Boyd of 114 Forest Drive, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Boyd was born on July 17, 1947 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Hobart and Charlotte (Snyder) Curry.

Sandy was a life time resident of Augusta County, where she worked in food service as a caterer. She enjoyed having and attending yard sales, and she loved spending special times with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by three brothers, John Wayne Curry, Glenn S. Curry and Charles L. Curry.

Surviving in addition to her husband of fifty years, are three sons, Allan H. Boyd and his wife Lisa of Mt. Sidney, Jeff S. Boyd and his wife Dee of Waynesboro, and Mark A. Boyd of Stuarts Draft; four grandchildren, Austin Boyd, Michael Boyd, Hanna Humphreys and Kristen Humphreys; a great-granddaughter, Emma Hutsenpiller; a brother, Howard Curry (Carolyn) of Waynesboro; a sister, Janet Desper of Staunton; special friends, Dennis and Jean Byers; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A Celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Don McClure.

Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Garland Thompson, Timmy Curry, Jamie Curry, Mark Serrett, Daryl Howdyshell and John Buchanan, Jr.
