Sandra Sue (Meek) Pultz, 66, loving wife, mother and grandmother of
1338 Miller Farm Road, went to be with her Lord, Monday, June 21, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Pultz was born November 5, 1943 in Waynesboro, a daughter of the late Marshall Preston and Thelma Lucy (Black) Meek.
Sandra was employed for twenty-eight years with the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Corrections in the Human Resources Department. She was a LPN Nurse at Kings Daughters Hospital and for Pediatrician Dr. Robert Kluge. She attended the Church on the Hill and enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren whom she so dearly loved and cherished.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pultz was preceded in death by a brother,
James H. Meek and two sisters, Lucy E. Meek and Martha J. Moyers.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Walter A. Pultz to whom she married on April 10, 1965 is a daughter and son-in-law, Alisa Berry and her husband Jonathan; two grandchildren, Lilian Grace Berry and Carter Jonathan Berry all of Mt. Sidney; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger A. Meek and his wife Anne Marie of Burgaw, NC, Joseph W. Meek and his wife Janice of Madison Heights and Roy C. Meek and his wife Bonnie of Norco, CA; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda M. Tullos and her husband Kenneth of Cabot, AR and Barbara A. Whitt and her husband James F. of Allowaw, NJ; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Active pallbearers will be her nephews, Darren Pultz, Kevin Pultz, Chris Pultz, Jeremy Pultz, Keith Pultz, Kevin Tullos, Jeffery Whitt, Christopher Meek and Jeremy Meek.
Honorary pallbearers are nieces and nephews attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening, Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the funeral home and other times the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Alisa and Jonathan Berry, 581 Knightly Lane, Mt. Sidney.
A celebration of her life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Brandon Williams.
Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
