Sandra Jean (Davy) Thompson, 82, widow of Bobby Thomas Thompson, formerly of South Sharlaine Drive, Staunton, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Magnolias of Chesterfield in Chester.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Minot, North Dakota on January 30, 1940 the daughter of the late Gordon L. Davy and Viola (Turno) Davy.

Sandra was a member of Memorial Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the church bell choir. She retired from the Augusta County School System as a teacher, after thirty-two years of service.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by a step-son, Scott Thompson.

Surviving, are two sons, Daniel B. Bowman and his fiancé, Misty Reedy of McGaheysville, and Douglas B. Bowman of Staunton; a daughter, Nadia A. Thompson of Staunton; a step-son, Ricky Wayne Thompson of Richmond; a brother, Bruce Davy of Green Bay, Virginia; two grandchildren, Raven Payne and her husband Caleb and Bryce Bowman; two great-grandchildren, Sutton and Slater Payne and an extended family in Minot, North Dakota.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 24, 2022 at Memorial Baptist Church by Pastor Todd Latham.

Burial will be private.
