Samuel Bruce Rothgeb Jr., 89, husband of Margaret Shirley Rothgeb, of Blandford Street, Staunton, passed away on March 24, 2022 at the Shenandoah Hospice House in Fishersville.

Mr. Rothgeb was born in New Jersey on December 2, 1932 a son of the late Samuel Bruce Rothgeb, Sr. and Nevella (Lambert) Rothgeb.

Samuel served in the United States Air Force and was a manager of Valley Office Machines. He enjoyed model trains and was a member of the Augusta County Railroad Club. Samuel was an avid fisherman and bowler.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Rothgeb was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Rothgeb.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, is a son, Christopher B. Rothgeb; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Burner Rothgeb; a nephew, David Rothgeb and wife Belinda; two nieces Margaret Rothgeb Emert and husband Christopher, and Amy Lee Rothgeb Hill and husband Jack; grand-nephews Michael Rothgeb and Scott Emert; and a grand-niece Becky Emert.

There will be no services.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
