Ruth Gail (Paxton) Whetsel's Obituary
Ruth Gail (Paxton) Whetsel, 68, of Old Providence Road, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the Shenandoah House in Fishersville.
Ruth was born in Staunton, Virginia on September 26, 1952, a daughter of Louise (Lawhorn) Paxton and the late Carl Thomas Paxton.
Mrs. Whetsel was a member of the Old Providence ARP Church and she enjoyed caring for and riding her horses.
Surviving in addition to her mother of Spottswood is a son, Adam Thomas Whetsel of Florida; a sister, Sheri M. Shaw and her husband Thomas of Spottswood; and a number of close friends.
A private family graveside will be held in the Old Providence Cemetery by Pastor Patrick Malphrus.
(Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic all current guidelines and restrictions will be followed.)
The family would like to extend a sincere and special "Thank You" to the Augusta Health Hospice, the Shenandoah House, and her caregivers.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to Old Providence ARP Church, c/o Kay Buchanan, 879 Dutch Hollow Road, Middlebrook, Virginia 24459.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, Virginia is in charge of her arrangements.
