Ruth Wanda (Rowe) Locklear, 78, of Raphine, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018.

Ms. Locklear was born on March 23, 1940 in Lofton, Virginia, a daughter of the late Russell and Julia (Harvey) Rowe.

Ruth was a member of Pines Chapel Presbyterian Church, and retired from American Safety Razor. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and cooking for the ones she loved. Ruth had a special love and faith for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Joe Locklear and a sister, Louise Doyle.

Surviving is a son, Joey Locklear of Waynesboro; a daughter, Trina Locklear; a granddaughter, Haley Stevens; and two great-grandchildren, Julia and Graelyn Hance, all of Houston, Texas; a brother, Bobby Rowe; and a sister, Rosalee Miller both of Greenville; and a brother-in-law, Elmer Doyle of Staunton.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 14, 2018 in the Pines Chapel Presbyterian Church by Pastor Joey Locklear.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
