Ruth Gail (Hall) Peters, 74, wife of James Paul Peters, Jr. of 150 Big River Road, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 at her residence.
Mrs. Peters was born on June 16, 1944 in Clifton Forge, Virginia a daughter of the late Preston McKinley, Sr. and Edith Virginia (Liptrap) Hall.
Ruth attended Victory Worship Center and was retired from Burke, Parsons and Bowlby as a secretary. While her health allowed, Ruth enjoyed cooking, crocheting, knitting and reading. Mr. and Mrs. Peters raised three grandchildren until adulthood, Kathy Linkenhoker, Gary Sprouse, and Jame Sprouse.
In addition to her husband of 55 years, Mrs. Peters is survived by two sons, James Preston Peters and his wife Tresa of Mount Solon and Mark D. Peters of Craigsville; two daughters, Diane L. Sprouse and Tracy D. Lawhorn and her husband Donald, Jr. both of Craigsville; a sister, Mrs. Nancy Higgins and her husband Robert "Bobby" of Clifton Forge; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
In honoring Mrs. Peters' request all services will be private.
Burial will be in the Little River Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
