Ruth Caroline (Baylor) Cline, 74, widow of Bobby N. Cline, of 30 Shannon Place passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2010 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
She was born August 22, 1936 in Middlebrook, a daughter of the late Willis Newton and Louise (Clemmer) Baylor.
Ruth retired in 1991 as office secretary for Drs. Howard T. Holden and Peter B. Richardson. She was a life member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church where she was an active member for many years and very instrumental in the Mt. Tabor Museum. Ruth sang with the Happy Notes and was a member of the Col. Thomas Hughart Chapter of the D.A.R. where she held several executive offices.
Mrs. Cline is survived by her son, Robert N. Robbie Cline and his wife Jennifer W. of Staunton; a sister Joyce B. Hanger and her husband Thomas L. of Staunton; two grandchildren, Weston D. Cline and Hannah E. Cline also survive.
A Celebration of life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2011 in the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church by Pastor JoAnn Bunn.
Burial will be private in the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Mike Cox, Patric Cline, Mark Cline, Mark Hanger, Gary Rosen, Jimmy Grant, Harry Johnson and Dr. Peter B. Richardson.
The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Robbie and Jennifer Cline, at 138 Rome Avenue, Staunton.
