Russell William Carroll, 71, of 1067 Eidson Creek Road, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in Envoy of Staunton.
r. Carroll was born on August 4, 1944 in Prince George County, Maryland a son of the late William Edward and Christine Violet (Carroll) Carroll.
Russell was previously employed by Guy C. Eavers as an equipment operator. He enjoyed mowing grass and working on automobiles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry Carroll, Arthur Carroll and Charles Carroll.
Surviving are two brothers, Johnny E. Carroll and his wife Roseann of VT and James E. Carroll of MA; three sisters, Mary F. Halterman and her husband Forest of Staunton, Catherine L. Nuckoles of Churchville and Sara Lebo of Staunton; two step-sons, Cliff Martin and Tyson Martin both of Staunton; special friends, Dennis and Evelyn Martin; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor John M. Ward.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements.
