Roy Michael McCutcheon, 57, husband of Lynn (Kelly) McCutcheon of 330 Dry Branch Road, Churchville, Virginia passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at his residence.
Mr. McCutcheon was born on September 16, 1963 in Staunton, Virginia, son of the late Riley Mason and Sarah Roszelia (Wilcher) Fitzgerald.
Following the untimely death of his biological parents, Roy was adopted and raised by his aunt and uncle, Paul Eugene and Nannie Pearl (Wilcher) McCutcheon.
Roy attended Jerusalem Chapel United Brethren Church, served his country in the United States Air Force, and was retired as a Correctional Sgt. from the Augusta Correctional Center. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid University of Virginia and Dallas Cowboys fan. Roy was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving in addition to his wife of thirty-seven years, is a son, Derek T. McCutcheon and his girlfriend Zoe Maye Aguayo; a daughter, Lauren R. McCutcheon; three grandchildren, Laci M. Woods, Trenton M. Woods, and Riley D. McCutcheon; and a special cousin, Crystal Wood.
A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 2021 in the Jerusalem Chapel United Brethren Church by Pastor Denny Sites.
Burial will be private at the Estaline Presbyterian Chapel Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Robertson, Kent Colvin, Jeff Fridley, R.C. Iddings, Donald Spradlin, Gary Wilcher, and Gary Woods.

It is suggested those desiring may make memorial contributions to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-1942.
