Rosalee (Gaskin) Sprouse, 99, widow of Russell Wilbert Sprouse, Sr., formerly of Craigsville, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Kings Daughters Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Staunton.

Mrs. Sprouse was born in Charleston, South Carolina on September 4, 1924 a daughter of the late Horace Greely Gaskin and Lula (Anderson) Gaskin.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Sprouse was preceded in death by three sons, Russell W. Sprouse, Jr., Eugene D. Sprouse, and Kenneth W. Sprouse.

Surviving, are two daughters, Judy Lee Sprouse of Craigsville and Cynthia "Cindy" (Sprouse) Sutton of Fishersville; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a niece, Elizabeth "Liz" Graham of Craigsville.

Burial will be private in Augusta Memorial Park.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is handling her arrangements.
