Ronnie Lee Moore, 55, husband of Lori (Pedersen) Moore of 79 McCombs Mill Lane, passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 in the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Mr. Moore was born on December 18, 1954 in Staunton, a son of the late John Henry and Verna Susan (Rutherford) Moore.
Ronnie was retired from Western State Hospital where he was a supervisor of Materials Management and was a member of the Cornerstone Church of Augusta. Ronnie was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. Woodworking was one of his favorite pastimes and spending time with his Lab dogs.
In addition to his parents Ronnie was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie S. Moore.
Surviving in addition to his wife to whom he married September 30, 1977 are two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda M. Wright and her husband, Douglas W., Jr. of Goochland and Michelle L. Cook and her husband David L. of Staunton; a brother and sister-in-law, Johnnie W. Moore and his wife Anita and a sister and brother-in-law, Susan M. Riddleberger and her husband Dennis F. all of Staunton; and four grandchildren whom he dearly loved, Wyatt Wright, Emma Wright, Brooke Wright and Riley Cook.
A Graveside service will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 12, 2010 in Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro by the Rev. Dave Sandy.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2010 in the funeral home and other times at his residence.
