STAUNTON:

Ronald Lee Howdyshell, Jr., 45, of 422 Baltimore Avenue passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at his residence.
Lee was born on January 2, 1967 in Waynesboro, a son of Ronald Lee Howdyshell, Sr. and Joyce Ann (Pugh) Howdyshell of Staunton.
Mr. Howdyshell was a 1985 graduate of Robert Lee High School and was employed by Beam Brothers Trucking. Lee enjoyed drag racing with the Howdyshell Racing Team he was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed camping with his family. Lee had many friends whom he enjoyed spending time and hanging out with.
In addition to his parents, Lee is survived by a sister, Rebecca Ann Becky Howdyshell and her fianc Joseph Botkin, Jr. of Staunton; two brothers, Tracy Flesher and his wife Lorie of Mint Spring and their four children, Tiffany Flesher, Matthew Flesher, Mikey Flesher and McKenzie Flesher; Ricky Redifer and his wife Betsy of Staunton and their two children, Taylor Redifer and Jennifer Redifer; Lees very special friend, Debbie Russell-Savage and her two children, K. K. Savage and Tyler Savage of Waynesboro; three aunts, Cleta Brooks and Glenda Potter both of Staunton and Brenda Henderson of Waynesboro; nephew, Brandon Barton of Staunton, whom was like a son that Lee never had; his special racing friend, Charles Brogan of Roanoke and a number of cousins, many close friends and his pet cat Furball also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2012 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Jeremy Woody.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
Active pallbearers will be Bobby Bosserman, Darryl Smith, Chuck Wagnor, Gerald Overby, Ernie Conner, Stuart DePriest, Jack Root and Rob Allen.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.
In lieu of flowers it is suggested that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Judes Place, Memphis, and TN 38105.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
