Ronald Alvin Colvin's Obituary

Ronald Alvin Colvin, 87, widower of Deanna Mae (Hite) Colvin of 23 Sunset Hill Lane, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 in Augusta County.

Ronald was born in Craigsville, Virginia on November 30, 1933, a son of the late Arthur Edgar and Catherine Theda (Puckett) Colvin.

Mr. Colvin attended Craigsville Southern Baptist Church, was a veteran of the United States Army, and retired from United Parcel Service where he was employed as a mechanic. Ronald was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Staunton, enjoyed watching NASCAR, working on automobiles and also enjoyed dancing.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Colvin was preceded in death by a granddaughter Candace Colvin; and a brother, Daniel Edgar Colvin.

Surviving are two sons, Kent Colvin and his wife Cindy of Stuarts Draft and Sean Matthew Colvin of Waynesboro; a daughter, Trina Roxanne Nichols and her husband Brian of Craigsville; two brothers, Jerry Colvin and his wife Shirley and Harold Colvin, Sr. both of Waynesboro; three sisters, Shirley Humphreys and her husband Durwood of Staunton, Janet Salmons and Judy Via and her husband Walter both of West Point, Virginia; eight grandchildren, Jason Jolly, Mandy Fox and her husband Richard, Alisha Hawrylack and her husband Michael, Ashley Robords and her husband Derek, Kristen Colvin, Anna Colvin, Jared Colvin, and Michaela Miller and her husband Martin; seven great-grandchildren, Jacob, Alaina, Anthony, Maria, Chase, Cooper and Liam; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2021 in the Craigsville Southern Baptist Church by Reverend Tom Quick.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Burial will be private in the Craigsville Community Cemetery.
