Roger Dale Simmons, 57, of Middlebrook Village Road, Staunton, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mr. Simmons was born in Staunton, Virginia on June 25, 1963, a son of Louise Virginia (Hite) Slusher and the late David Henry Simmons.

Roger was a member of the Beacon of Hope Holiness Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Thorne.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Staunton, is a son, Casey Dale Simmons and his fiance Hannah James of Waynesboro; a brother, David Michael Simmons; a sister, Donna Gail Lambert; four grandchildren, Emersyn, Addilyn, Lindyn, and Cohen; a special cousin, April Hite; special friends, Roger and Elizabeth Miller; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Those desiring may pay their respects from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2021 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Pastor Keith May.
