Mr. Miller was born on April 9, 1968 in Staunton, a son of the late Roger Wayne Miller, Sr. and Ella Victoria Ramsey.
Roger was a 1987 graduate of Lee High School and in 2004, he received a B.S. in Accounting from Central Washington University. Following graduation, he began working for the United States Department of Treasury as a revenue agent. He enjoyed listening to Joel Osteen, watching and participating in all sports, especially football, baseball and basketball. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed spending time with his friends listening to Elvis Presley, country music and wearing his Filson hats and coats. Roger was a generous man who would literally give you the coat off his back if you wanted or needed it. He loved his family and friends but his abiding passion was his fatherly love of his daughter, Kendyl whose interest was always first and foremost in Rogers life.
Surviving is a daughter, Kendyl Miller of Staunton; a sister, Margaret Miller of Stuarts Draft; a brother, Daryl Miller and his wife Kim of Kansas City, Kansas; nieces and nephews, Brittany Taylor of Stuarts Draft, Addison Miller, Michael Miller and Elijah Miller, all of Kansas City, Kansas; a dear friend and former wife, Kay Miller; a close and dear friend, James Jim Cash of Staunton; step-mother, Shirley Miller of Staunton; and his beloved dog, Marla.
