Roger Charles George, Sr. 80, widower of Marie Marion (Bickleman) George of Staunton, VA, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018, in Brookdale of Staunton.
Mr. George was born on November 14, 1937 in Palmyra, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Melvin and Alberta (Rife) George.
Roger was a proud veteran of the United States Army, and retired as a
truck driver.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. George was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Fair.
Surviving are three sons, Terry George, Tracy George and Roger C. George, Jr.; two daughters, Cindy Rubendall and Lisa Fair; a step-sister, Crystal George; a number of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 2, 2018 in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 235 Maple Street, Lebanon, Pennsylvania by Rev. William "Bill" Trice.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements.
