Roger Trent Coffey, 55, of 83 Madison Drive, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Coffey was born on May 21, 1960 in Staunton, a son of the late Melvin and Gloria Olivia (Watson) Coffey.
Roger was a member of the Salvation Army Church. He was very loved by his family, he was a strong and courageous man, as well as giving and caring of others.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Coffey was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Bartlett and a special friend, Gene Spicer.
Survivors include a daughter, Dawn R. Chaplin of Staunton; four brothers, Roy Evans, Jr. of Theodore, Alabama, Randolph Coffey and wife Sylvia, Donald Coffey both of Staunton, and Daniel Coffey; two sisters, Lois Pultz of Staunton and Peggy Campbell of Williamsport, Maryland; a sister-in-law, Toni Bartlett; three grandchildren, Tristan Chaplin, Sirius Salisbury and Sirianna Salisbury; a special friend, Jean DePriest of Staunton and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2015 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Major Sam Hearne.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
