Roger Allen Campbell's Obituary

Roger Allen Campbell, 68, husband of Barbara (Martin) Campbell of 308 North Waverley Street, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 at his residence following a brief illness.
Mr. Campbell was born January 10, 1947 in Augusta County, a son of the late Floyd Allen and Marie (Campbell) Campbell.
Roger attended Estaline Valley Church of the Nazarene and he was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Campbell retired from Wayne-Tex/Mohawk in 2005 after thirty-seven years of service as an Extrusion Supervisor. He was a member of the NRA, an avid NASCAR fan, and liked to hunt and fish. Roger enjoyed spending time with his family and especially grilling out together.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, John Fitzgerald.
Surviving in addition to his wife of forty-seven years, are twin-sons, Timmy Allen Campbell and his fiance Jamell Roberts of Stuarts Draft and Jimmy Wayne Campbell and his wife Renee of Staunton; a brother, Floyd J. Campbell and his wife Cissy of Waynesboro; two sisters, Doris C. Fitzgerald of Fishersville and Wanda C. Lyle of Staunton; twin grandsons, Trevor Wesley Campbell, Cody Allen Campbell and a granddaughter, Mackenzie Renee Campbell; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Stevie Dingus and Ottis Bruce.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
A Celebration of life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2015 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Jim Corbin.
Entombment will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Steve Shull, Bryan Lyle, Mike Fitzgerald, Lee Saylor, Jeff Campbell, Mark Martin and Wayne Wiseman.
It is suggested those desiring may make memorial contributions to Cats Cradle, 124 South Main Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22801 or Augusta Health Foundation, Hospice of the Shenandoah, Post Office Box 1000, Fishersville, VA 22939.
