Robert Edward Witt, Jr., 62, of Staunton, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

Mr. Witt was born in Arlington, Virginia on September 16, 1960, a son of Dorothy Woodzell and the late Robert Edward Witt, Sr.

Robert was employed with Little Debbie as a truck driver and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and NASCAR. Robert liked spending time with his dogs, Nini and Bear. He loved the Lord and always enjoyed helping others.

Surviving, in addition to his mother of Fort Defiance, is a son, Dustin Edward Witt and his wife Elsa of Inwood, WV; a daughter, Nina Marie Carter of Staunton; two brothers, Tony Witt of Staunton and Calvin Woodzell of Fort Defiance; two sisters, Patricia Hyden and her husband Doug of Staunton and Valerie Watson and her husband Gruver of Weyers Cave; and four grandchildren, Herman, Dustin, Belinda, and Anaya.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Rayder Ogden and Pastor Layne Lassley. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
