Robert Eugene Bob Tisdale, 60, husband of Shirley Mae (Kinner) Tisdale of 19 Oak Tree Lane passed away Friday, August 31, 2012 at the residence of his sister surrounded by many who loved him.

Mr. Tisdale was born April 29, 1952 in Denver, CO, a son of the late Carl Robert and Maria Rose (Perrelly) Tisdale.

Bob was a member of the Cornerstone Church of Augusta where he was a member of the Mens Life Group and AA Group. He proudly served in the United States Navy and was faithful to his country. He was employed as a paver with B\u0026S Contracting, Inc. Bob enjoyed sports, was an avid UVA and NASCAR fan and liked to fish.

In addition to his wife Shirley whom he married on July 9, 1981, survivors include two sons, Anthony Joseph Tisdale and Joshua Robert Tisdale both of Stuarts Draft; two sisters, Anita M. Ambrosio and her husband Michael of West Milford, NJ and Denise A. Gaddy and her husband Houston Butch of Staunton; a granddaughter, Alethia Dawn Tisdale; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in Cornerstone Church of Augusta by Pastor David B. Sandy and Pastor Gregory Mayo.

Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Monday, September 3, 2012 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence of his sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Butch Gaddy, 178 Gaddy View Lane, Staunton.

Active pallbearers will beRobert Niebel, Ralph Golladay, Howard Rickman, Kevin Carman, Houston G. Gaddy and Jerry Stogdale.

Honorary pallbearers will be Salvatore Roughgarden and Michael Ambrosio.
