Robert Junior Rexrode, 73, husband of Angeline Marie (Sipe) Rexrode of 551 Union Church Road went to be with his Lord, Sunday, December 25, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Rexrode was born on September 9, 1943 in Augusta County, a son of the late Roy Andrew and Annie Mae (Simmons) Rexrode.
Robert attended Elk Run Church of the Brethren and retired as a heavy equipment operator with various excavating companies throughout the area. Mr. Rexrode had a strong work ethic, enjoyed coaching baseball and loved his grandchildren whom he gave all a special nick name.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Rexrode was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Arehart; and two brothers, Bittle Rexrode and Leroy Rexrode.
Surviving in addition to his wife of thirty-seven years, is a son, Chuck Parrish and wife Dawn; a step-son, Cleve Helmick and wife Tina; a daughter, Beth Fridley and fianc Paul; a brother, Ralph Rexrode; two sisters, May McCray and Doris Rowe all of Staunton; five grandchildren, Taylor, Tyler, Hannah, Maddie Grace and Colin; three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Tristen Robert and Levi; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends anytime at the residence and those desiring may pay their respects by visiting Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory at other times.
A Graveside will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 in Union Church Cemetery by Pastor Harry Jarrett, Jr.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis Tennessee 38105-1942.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
