Robert Hansford PaPa Campbell, 77, husband of Yukraine Crannie (Moomau) Campbell, of 67 Broadhead School Road, (P.O. Box 28, Greenville, VA 24440) passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Campbell was born on April 11, 1938 in Augusta County a son of the late Murrell F. and Elsie (Whitehead) Campbell.

Mr. Campbell was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and attended Raphine Christian Church. He was a farmer and logger for many years prior to his employment at Wayne-Tex where he was employed for 10 years and was a truck driver for Western Express / Huss Trucking for more than 40 years. Mr. Campbell enjoyed gardening, working with his flowers and his greatest love was for his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by four brothers, Warren, Flemming, Glenn and Murray Campbell and three sisters, Shirley Kusner, Faye Rexrode and Becky Ellinger.

He is the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 54 years is a son, Ned Campbell and his wife Tina; a daughter, Christy Campbell both of Greenville; three grandchildren, Corey Robert, Allie Marie and Emma Grace Campbell; special and wonderful family friends, Wayne and Geri Lowe of Staunton; two sisters-in-law, Thelma Campbell of Greenville and Phyllis Campbell of Madison Heights; a brother-in-law, Robert Rexrode of Lexington; and numerous nieces and nephews left to cherish his memory.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.

A Memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Raphine Christian Church by Pastor John M. Ward.

In keeping with Mr. Campbells request and wishes he was cremated.

Burial will be private.
