Robert Lee Bob Quick, 84, widower of Ada Frances (Guffey) Quick formerly of 806 East Beverley Street passed away Friday, June 1, 2012 in Kings Daughters Community Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Quick was born September 19, 1927 in Augusta County, a son of the late D. Thomas and Elizabeth Marie (Dixon) Quick.
Mr. Quick was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church where he served as Trustee, Treasurer, Elder, Deacon and President of the Men of the Church a member of the Seekers Sunday school class and was a benefactor of the Valley Mission through his Sunday school class. He graduated in 1945 from Robert E. Lee High School and in 1946 founded Quick-Livick Inc. Bob was the past-president of Virginia Motor Coaches Association, founding member and life-time director of the United Motor Coachs Association and in 1986 founded D\u0026B Bus Company in Falmouth, VA.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Quick was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Franklin Quick.
Surviving is a son, Robert Leslie Robbie Quick and a daughter, Debbie (Quick) Ray and her husband Danny L. all of Staunton; seven grandchildren, Kimberley S. Quick, Jason T. Quick and his wife Shannon, Kara N. Fultz and her fianc, Frank Miller, Chad Fultz, Nathan Ray and his wife Grace, Katie Ray and Rebecca Ray.; four great grandchildren, Kylie Quick, Kiernan Quick, Jack Werner and Lilly Ray; a special daughter-in-law, Charlotte Durham Quick and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Mr. Quick was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
A Graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012 in Pleasant View Cemetery by Pastor Lester N. LaPrade and Chaplain Murphy Terry.
Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Quicks Bus Company.
The family will receive friends following the service.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
