Robert Junior Bobby Floyd, II, 60, husband of Kathy (Fitzgerald) Floyd of Staunton, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 in the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Mr. Floyd was born on January 23, 1958 in Staunton, a son of Barbara Ann (Ryder) and the late Robert Junior Floyd.
Bobby attended the New Life Baptist Church of New Hope. He loved music, especially playing his guitar as his form of worship, praise and expression of his faith to the Lord. He enjoyed fishing, watching football, and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
During Bobbys life, he endured many struggles, and though he never left his faith, he recently came full circle and lived his faith.
Surviving in addition to the love of his life for thirty-nine years, and his mother of Verona are two daughters, Valerie (Floyd) Wampler and her husband Adam of Harrisonburg and Lauren Floyd of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, Ava and Anna Wampler and Onyx Brown; two brothers, Timothy W. Floyd and his wife Kathy of Crimora and Stephen E. Floyd and his fiance Lisa Shifflett of Verona; a sister, Dana (Floyd) Wade and her husband Mark of New Hope; a number of nieces and nephews; and a two special friends, Terry Pleskonko and John Wade.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 in the Church on the Hill, 100 Four Square Lane, Fishersville by Pastor Corey Smallwood of New Life Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends following the service.
