Robert Franklin "Bobby" Steele, 74, husband of Carolyn B. Steele of 251 Offliter Road, Stuarts Draft, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Mr. Steele was born in Lexington, Virginia on June 8, 1948, the son of Lura (Coffey) Steele and the late Johnnie Rush Steele.

Bobby was a member of Old Providence ARP Church in Spottswood, a "Jack of all trades" and enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers. He was a thinker and an organizer. He loved nature, all of his animals, and his special place at White Rock.

Mr. Steele was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Franklin and Nellie Steele; his maternal grandparents, Hercey and Burgess Coffey; his father; and a sister, Bonnie Steele Craig.

Surviving, in addition to his mother and his wife of fifty-four years, is a sister, Ann Steele Lyle and her husband Bill; a special family member, Phillip Greene; a sister-in-law, Jean Willetts and her husband Dale; three brothers-in-law, JR Beverly, David Beverly and his wife Jane, and Steve Beverly; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Roger Allen.

A memorial gathering in celebration of Bobby's life will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at his residence.

Inurnment will take place at White Rock Cemetery at a later date.
