Robert H. "Bob/Bobby" Roberts, Jr., 75, husband of Judy (Eavey) Roberts of 2393 Cole Avenue, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 18, 2019.
Mr. Roberts was born on April 23, 1943 in Staunton, a son of the late Robert H., Sr. and Helen Ruth (Fitzgerald) Roberts.
Bob was a member of Barren Ridge Church of the Brethren, he was retired from Unifi Corporation and later worked as a school crossing guard for the City of Staunton at Shelburne Middle School on Grubert Ave. He was a member of the Staunton Moose Lodge 1635, Fraternal Order of the Eagles 680 and the Sons of the American Veterans Post 511. Bob enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family, and enjoyed helping others.
In addition to his parents Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby (Roberts) Hevener and a nephew, H.C. Hevener.
Surviving in addition to his wife of fifty-four years, is a daughter, Lisa (Roberts) Camden and her husband Jeff of Staunton; a brother, Mickey W. Roberts and his wife Sheila of Staunton; a sister, Linda Mae (Roberts) Robertson and her husband Jerry of Staunton; four grandchildren, Josh Pullin, Jared Pullin, J.D. Camden and his wife Hillary, Jill Babauta and her husband Zack; one great-grandchild, Maverick Babauta and an expected great-grandchild; special nephew, Michael Roberts; special cousin, Diane Ricketson; two special friends, Keith Henderson and J.R. Lawson; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The family will received friends from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2019 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and the residence at other times.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2019 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Henry Elsea and Pastor Galen Combs.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Bob's grandsons, Josh Pullin, Jared Pullin and J.D. Camden, and Michael Roberts, J.R. Lawson and Gary Back.
