Rita Elaine Smallwood's Obituary
Rita Elaine Smallwood, 66, of Crimora, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 in the Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville.
Miss Smallwood was born on March 9, 1951 in Waynesboro, a daughter of the late Paul R. and Charlotte (Parr) Smallwood.
Rita was a lifelong dedicated member of the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are four brothers, Rick Smallwood, Wayne Smallwood and his wife Jane, Steve Smallwood and his wife Charlotte, and Dean Smallwood and his wife Regina, all of Augusta County; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2017 in the Riverview Cemetery by Rev. Janet Elsea.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, 11 Belvidere Road, Crimora, Virginia 24431.
The family wishes to thank all of Ritas church family and the staff of the Augusta Health Cancer Center for their care and concern over the past few years.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
