Ricky Harold McPherson, Sr., 54, husband of Patricia Ann (Thompson) McPherson of 254 Old Providence Road, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. McPherson was born on March 25, 1962 in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, a son of Cecil and Gertrude (Redifer) McPherson.
Ricky was employed at Mary Baldwin College in the Maintenance Department, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on vehicles.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Nicole McPherson.
Surviving in addition to his wife of three years is his father of Churchville and his mother of Staunton; two sons, Ricky H. McPherson, Jr. of Binghamton, New York and Lee E. Shifflett of Steeles Tavern; a daughter, Pam M. McPherson of Staunton; two brothers, Andy McPherson of Churchville and Kevin McPherson of New Hope; three sisters, Tammy Collins of Vesuvius, Marion Rankin and Cecila Klein both of Staunton.
The family will have a private Memorial service.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2301 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
