Richard Lyle "Jackie" Corbin, Sr., 84, widower of Frances (Young) Corbin of Staunton, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at his residence.
Mr. Corbin was born in Augusta County on April 29, 1936, a son of the late Richard and Ada (Moran) Corbin.
Jackie was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and retired from Standard Tile. He loved to work and was always willing to help anyone in need. He was a devoted husband and father and loved his family and friends. Mr. Corbin was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Corbin was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Ok Cha Corbin; three brothers and one sister.
Surviving are three sons, Richard Lyle Corbin, Jr., Michael A. Corbin and his wife, Trina all of Staunton, and William "Billy" Corbin and his wife, April of Stuarts Draft; a sister, Betty Moomau of Greenville; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2021 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2021 in Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Pastor David Bailey.
